Although this is under my husband's name, it is my review. This is the best experience I've had at a hair salon. When you first enter, you are greeted by one of several very nice and professional people who make you feel like you are a special guest. Thomas washed, cut and styled my hair, and it was not only what I asked for but what I always hoped my hair could look like. Although I have thin and limp hair, he was able to put just enough layers to look full both at the top and at the ends. He was so sweet, funny, professional and most importantly, a fantastic stylist. I was surprised at the cost, which was quite a bit less than what I pay for in other cities like Chicago, Seoul and NYC. I will make a trip back in December and have already set a date for my next haircut with Thomas!

Thomas did a fantastic job with my hair! I was a complete mess when I went in. I had let my hair grow to a bad length and it was just awkward and flat. By the time I got out of his styling chair, I looked really beautiful. (And I don't normally say that. I just know I looked good because I turned heads for the rest of the day... and it certainly wasn't my outfit causing all the attention.) The cut had a very fresh, very full look.
He took the time to understand how my hair is naturally so he could cut it in a way that would look good without needing any special day-to-day styling. After washing my hair at home a few times, it still falls nicely to frame my face and there is still a lot of body and movement in the shape.
Thomas is really lovely and speaks English well. Despite being located in a richer area of Paris, the feeling at Hair-Design is down-to-earth and very warm. There is no pretentiousness at all. I even called at short notice and they fit me into the schedule no problem.

Even though I'm from NYC, I wanted to get a "Parisian" haircut. I walked in without an appointment and even though he was busy, Thomas was willing to squeeze me in. He never seemed to rush me and listened to everything I said. He jokingly said I had to pay "per kilo" because I cut so much hair off. I loved the cut and enjoyed his sense of humor. Will definitely go back to him next time.

This is the best hair dresser in Paris HANDS DOWN.
Thomas (Tom) is the most professional stylist I know. His technique (which involves cutting your hair with a razor sharp blade) leaves you feeling refreshed, and sharp as ever!
If you are in Paris, do not miss the opportunity to get the best haircut of your life :) -

This summer I spent 6 weeks in Paris .... it's been great except I have bangs and they had grown out to an extent that made it difficult to see hahaha. I'm so afraid to cut them myself but because I didn't know any salons in Paris I held out. Finally I went into HD because I couldn't stand it any longer! Not only did they do a wonderful job with my bang trim, they did it for free! Very kind and helpful staff!!
